EVENPRIME took inspiration from Korea, the epicenter of skincare innovation, to create an affordable skincare line for men. Designed for all skin types, our clinically-tested formulas are simple, safe and ethical (sulfate, paraben, cruelty-free).
Our mission is to not only help men grow to admire and appreciate the skin they’re in (after all, it is our largest organ) but to help men everywhere dive deeper into the concept of ritual and routine.
Why men's skincare? Though [EP] products can be used by any race, gender or celestial being, we noticed the US lagged behind Korea and Japan when it came to innovation, quality and education in the men's skincare sector.
There are also subtle differences between men and women's skin (and skin concerns) that are important to account for. Men's skin is typically 30–40% thicker than women's, with more oil-producing glands and larger pores. Add shaving to the mix, and it all adds up to one very important fact: to look its best, your skin requires care that's specially formulated for its unique needs.

Koh Kim, Founder
Koh was born in Korea (like the brand!), but lived in the US for most of her life, working in business development and marketing within the video game industry. Her love of clean beauty products is matched only by her love for gaming and tech (her favorite game is Shadow of the Colossus, followed closely by Final Fantasy Tactics).
After witnessing her younger brothers struggle with acne, Koh realized there was a severe lack of education and product choice in the men's skincare sector. Inspired by consumer trends and skincare innovation in Asia, Koh was absolutely convinced there was a waiting audience for the next era of men’s skincare in America.
Thus, Koh set out to create a brand that could offer high-quality, affordable products to help make good skincare accessible to all young men. Et Voila! EVENPRIME was founded in late 2017.
Rickie Ashman, Creative Director
Rickie spent the end of his teenage years living in Japan, where he first gained an appreciation for essentialism and packaging design. After a brief stint as a model and actor, Rickie began to dive deeper into his own skincare ritual, realizing that the low-quality ingredients of American drugstore brands were too harsh for his skin.
Rickie eventually returned to America (to New York City), where he pursued a career working in brand strategy and art direction. Over the years, Rickie has worked for companies like Fjällräven, Rag & Bone and RocNation, as well as agency-side with clients like SK-II, Chanel and Maison Kitsuné.
In 2016, Koh and Rickie met while working at a video game tech startup in Santa Monica (Rickie is also a gamer; his favorite is Final Fantasy VIII). Though new to the EVENPRIME team, Rickie brings with him a strong understanding of marketing and design, and empathy for fellow Millennial consumers in their hunt for the perfect, affordable skincare brand.
